What Is A Young Ambassador?
In Sunderland we currently have eight Young Ambassadors selected from schools across the whole city. They have had the opportunity to attend a conference in York, designed to stimlate and excite them to plan activities and run activities that spread the word of sport and the olympic ideal. This is a prestijous opportunity that our Young Ambassadors intend to grasp with both hands.
The Young Ambassador Programme outcomes are as follows:
• To advocate the ethos and values of the Olympic and Paralympic movement
• To champion sport within local communities
• To create role models for other young people
• To aspire to inspire participation
